We're on a mission to teach ECG interpretation from a different perspective by showing what's actually happening inside the heart. Our platform combines interactive 3D visualization, real clinical cases, hands-on simulators, and quizzes to help medical and veterinary professionals truly understand cardiac electrophysiology, not just memorize patterns.

Co-Founder & BVSc DECVIM-CA (Cardiology) PhD MRCVS
Dr. Hayley McDonald is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist and cofounder of Opti. Through years of clinical practice and teaching, she has seen firsthand how difficult ECG interpretation can be for both students and practicing veterinarians. Her work with Opti is driven by a shared goal of improving how cardiac electrophysiology is taught and understood by helping clinicians visualize electrophysiologic processes through interactive models, real clinical cases, and dynamic visual tools. Dr. McDonald is passionate about advancing veterinary education in ways that strengthen understanding, build confidence, and ultimately improve patient care.

Co-Founder & Engineer
Matt Kettelkamp is a cofounder of Opti and the lead engineer. He is a software engineer with a passion for building tools that help people learn and understand complex concepts. He has always had a passion for topics in medicine and originally thought of the idea for Opti years ago while working as a cardiology technician. Years of learning software development, 3D development, interest in medicine, and his collaboration with Dr. Hayley McDonald led to the creation of Opti.
